Windridge's fan installation features are designed by industry professionals to be as easy as possible, and instructions are included with every fan.

How to choose a fan:
1. It is recommended to have 1 CFM of air for every square foot of floor space. For high humidity areas you may want 1.5 CFM/sqft.
Note: Air movement must be made up in your home needing heating or cooling to maintain you comfort.
2. Noise - lower sones means quieter air movement providing a peaceful environment with fresher air.
3. Closed motor keeps out humidity for longer life.

 

Fan terminology:
HVI Certification - A government approved independant testing agency.
Static Pressure - Sustained pressure over a length of pipe used to create a baseline for measuring.
Air volume (CFM) - Cubic Feet per Minute of air measures the amount of air moved from an area.
Noise - Sones - A combined measurement of noise and air movement. Lower sones means a quieter more efficient unit.
Power consumption - Watts - The amount of electricity used to run a unit.
Energy efficiency - CFM/Watts - The electricity required to move 1 CFM.
Speed - RPM - How fast the motor turns per minute.
Current - Amps - The amperage or power required per unit.
Power rating - V/Hz - Voltage / hertzogs.
Duct diameter - The termination measurement for piping.
Motor type - Closed motor keeps moisture out for long life.
